As Founder and CEO of Higher Road Coaching, Diane is a Professional Coach and Consultant. The focus of Diane’s approach is based on the science of attitudes impacting behavior. With an understanding of how important it is to make decisions from a place of knowledge and alignment with core values, she empowers her clients by creating an understanding of our personal energy, external environment, and the neuroscience of communication. She emphasizes choosing how to respond in order to build trust and lead the best life we can. At the heart of Diane’s success is her ability to help people develop goals for reaching their greatest potential, enhance their cultural alignment for business strategy and success, and create a roadmap for how to get there.
Diane has studied extensively the relationship between human attitudes, motivations and behaviors to affect positive change. In addition to her coaching certifications, and her experience coaching individuals, teams and small businesses, she draws on her knowledge of consumer insights and marketing strategy. Marketing strategy is about understanding people and what makes them tick and creating opportunities and messages to help change behaviors and ultimately increase company revenue. Diane spent over 25 years in New York City successfully navigating large global, matrix organizations including HSBC, Citibank, JPMorgan Chase, Young & Rubicam and Ipsos, having been a Senior Vice President and Head of North America for Consumer Insights and Marketing Strategy. She has structured and managed teams across countries, established and exceeded business goals and built effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
“What I love about working with executives is that I’ve been there, at a senior level. Before coaching, I worked shoulder to shoulder with powerful senior people who exude a clear sense of direction and purpose, inspire people and get results, and other incredibly talented folks whose only big limitation was the fog that hovered around their true aspirations and strengths. After leaving the corporate world to help others, I put a lot of energy into understanding the neurological and emotional components of what makes us achieve clarity and purpose – what makes us “tick” if you will. I promise not to burden you with the science, but I will put all of my business and human potential experience and training into helping you really propel your effectiveness and achieve your personal and career goals.”

How did Diane get to where she is today?
Since Diane was a child, she has always had a passion for understanding people with compassion and empathy. She learned along the way in her career that it is also about results and outcomes. Coaching enables her to bring these together to serve her clients best. In her business career, she worked hard to demonstrate both of these and she believes that her leveraged combination of these helped her attain her corporate success. That said, corporate life can be grueling, and at times for her it was. She lost track of her "whole" self and while her performance remained high, her personal joy and fulfillment began tanking. In time, it began affecting her ability to stay on her game and want to do more - to go farther. She began to get "stuck in the muck" in her work and personal life. It wasn't any fun. Deep down she aspired for more, but she was exhausted. Her husband and she went away for a weekend to a cute town about an hour north of New York City called Rheinbeck, NY to get away from it all for the weekend. In one of the cute shops in town, she saw a wooden plaque and it hit her like a TON of bricks. It says: "I'm not sure if life's trying to pass me by or run me over." BOOM! That is exactly how she felt! It got her thinking, life is too precious to not be COMPLETELY happy. At this time, she had already become a certified coach, and yet, she was simply working the corporate role that she had loved...at one time. When she got the opportunity to start her own coaching business, she never looked back! She now works with leaders, partnering with them to achieve their greatest success and help them be whole and happy along the way.
Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else.
